CULTURE NIGHT AT LUCAN LIBRARY

Culture Night returns this Autumn and will take place on Friday 23rd September. At Lucan Library they have some very special events lined up including:

Tackling Finnegan’s Wake for the Absolute Beginner, Friday 23rd September from 4-6pm

This workshop hosted by Roslyn Hickey is for the absolute beginner who is ready to tackle James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake. A metaphor, an allusion, a blending of worlds of reality and dreams, a joke by a quirky genius, an anti-fascist masterpiece, explore every side to this timeless classic.

Facilitator, Roslyn Hickey will share her experience of reading Finnegans Wake, make suggestions on how to approach the text as well as providing a list of resources and support material which she will suggest. Book your place via Eventbrite here.

Music Workshop, Friday 23rd September from 5:30pm

Make some noise and have some fun with Lucan Libraries Music Worksop for the whole family.

Children’s Event, Friday 23rd September from 6:30pm

Come along and join a very special story time with Simone from Story Gate. Make sure to bring your cuddly toy to enjoy the stories with you, and if your cuddly toy would like to have a sleepover at the library, leave it with the other toys and collect in the morning.
