Ireland Reads, Saturday 24th February
Libraries all over Ireland are asking people of ‘squeeze in a read’ this February as part of the national celebration Ireland Reads! Drop into Lucan Library & bring your library card, or renew your card if its been a while since you visited. Bring a friend who wants to join the library…all that is needed to join or renew your card is photographic ID and proof of address.
Bookstagram!, Thursday 22nd February, 7pm
Back by popular demand, social media influencers Sinead and Chloe (@tiremammybookclub and @nursefancypants) return to Lucan Library with more chat about books and lots more recommendations. Booking essential via Eventbrite from Thursday 1st February at 10am.
Poet's Perch, Tuesday 6th February, 7pm
A poetry class aimed at adults, led by amateur poet Natalie Ryan. This new group is for everyone with an interest in Poetry. All levels welcome. Feel free to bring along one of your poems to share with the group.
Clever Little Handies with Claire Glynn, Each Tuesday, 10am - 10.30am
Clever Little Handies is an award winning baby sign class for parents with babies from newborns up to wobblers. We already know babies can communicate with their hands before they can talk; they can wave; they can clap; they can point. They have the dexterity in their hands to formulate signs long before they have the muscle dexterity in their mouths to form words. By providing tools to communicate from an early age they will have a vocabulary to use, even if they’re not formulating words yet. Booking essential via Eventbrite from Tuesday 30th January at 10am.

Afternoon Tea at the Library for Adults, Wednesday 7th February, 2.30pm
With our February exhibition telling the story of Bewleys since 1840, we are having Afternoon Tea to celebrate!

Make a light-up card for someone you love! LED Card Kits available for children. Book a kit via Eventbrite on Thursday 1st February at 10am. Kits can be collected at the Library from Wednesday 7th February during library opening hours.
