Join the team at Lucan Library from 1st-17th March as we celebrate Seachtain Na Gaeilge!

Seachtain na Gaeilge, a celebration of the Irish language, culture and heritage with events and activities including:

  • Saturday 4th March at 2pm, Ceol agus craic with Sean & Claire. Come along and celebrate the Irish culture through music, song & dance
  • Tuesday 14th March at 11am, Irish Connect Café invites you to reconnect with the cupla focal over a cuppa. This event is aimed at anyone looking to have fun re-visiting the Irish language.
  • Tuesday 14th March at 7pm, History of the Irish language with Patricia Fogarty. Learn about old Irish, modern Irish and the decline of the language particularly from the late 17th century to its revival in the late 19th  century to its position in today’s Irish society.
